Is it possible for me to re-write DVDs and/or VCDs (using a DVD-RW drive with DVD-RW discs, ofcoarse) and still be able to play them on any DVD player? I was wondering because this would make it a lot more affordable for me than constantly purchasing DVD-R discs for each movie I burn. Thanks in advance!

I use non-RWs only when I'm sure I want to keep something permanently, and RWs for all other purposes. Not only it's more cost-effective in the long run, it's also more enviromental friendly.
