I want to buy a 120 GB drive... I have found plenty for 120$ and a couple for onle 90$. The only difference I can find is the buffer size. These are 8MB and 2MB, respectively. Will this effect the overall functionality of my machine with backupped games and whatnot? If not, what little differences may I notice? thanks for the help ps If the answer is really simple, I feel like a dumba**. But hey, I know nothing of computers, a'ight?
i think the most important thing for you to consider here is whether the hard drive can be locked or not so you can play xbox live. check out this site so you know which are lockable and not lockable: http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list

to be honest, i don't really know. however, i do have my doubts on the drive you're looking at, so just to be sure i'd stick to the lockable hard drives listed in the link i posted above
