So here's my problem. I have a ~4gb *.VOB file of a movie. I want to burn it onto a DVD-9 that I have with me, but in Nero when I selected "Dvd-Video" and try to add the file, it says that the ISO format can't use files larger than 2gb, and to switch to the UFD format. No problem, right?

Err... Well I haven't found any way to switch the compilation to UDF?

Any help / other programs would be appreciated. I also have the 1400mb AVI file if that's any help.

are you running a fat32 system :this cant burn anything larger than 3gig.
You will probably need to change to NTFS to accomplish the task
