Qustion for a friend

A friend of mine recently began using clone and anydvd and the programs work fine for him. The problem is that when he inserts a burned dvd into his dvd-rw drive his computer automatically restarts and continues to restart untill the dvd is removed. Original dvds work fine only burnt ones cause this problem. I don't know any specs of his pc, I just wanted know if anyone has heard of this and/or knows how to fix it? I can find out specs on his pc, but I thought I would ask first. I know he has Windows XP.
