R4 loading problem...**Email posting and Banned**

im having this problem as well, will try this now!

 

Even when I do that I still get the loading screen, I have Installed the N5 V 1.18 and then over written with the R4 is that right?

Hi I have now sorted out my loading page.

My R4 must have been sold to me as a fake.( I was unaware of this)
The firmware for sdhc works on this.

try downloading the firmware from www.sdhc.com click on the English link on the top, then download version 1.21 English

No worries, I have not got my post and have 1 R4 from Dealextreme working and 1 edge lol also I have another R4 coming from a Uk site. I think I went a little mad when ordering but I can confirm the one from deal extreme is a proper R4 correct colour and comes with the CD etc....!! So if anyone is in need of one I have one to sell lol....

I read through these posts about loading screen problems. I also bought an R4 and it is one without the spring mechanism, so the memory card slides in and you have to pull it out. Well, I used a 4GB microSD card, and I got the loading screen. I followed the directions on the website provided on the box. My problem was that the site told me to copy 3 files to the memory card. There were 5 files in the download kernel, which at this date the latest was V1.21 according to the site I used. There appears to be 2 main websites, and depending on which box you have it will give the appropriate website. The box said to use http://www.r4sdhc.com But I had to use http://www.ndslr4.com/index-en.htm for my kernel. I sent an email to the place where I bought it, and they said I must use this kernel, not the one from http://r4ds.cn/download/r4.html
So I downloaded the kernel which had 5 items, Copied all 5 items to the root directory of the memory card, and it worked. I thought it was never going to work, but it did. I hope this helps someone out there, because I was going crazy trying to get this to work. And I have an older R4, which looks slightly different, and I also have an M3Simply. So I thought I knew what I was doing.
Also, I am currently using a 4GB microSD on this R4. It does work with 4GB. Not all R4's support 4Gigs and higher. If this is a clone, then my clone is working and I'm happy. Good luck everyone.

 

well from reading the other postes any thing above V1.18 is a clone and if you can use 4gb+ cards then it is, as fas as i know. as mine can use 4gb/8gb cards, and mine still working ok, but have got a real one also

 

Help! I can no longer get on the ndsl4 website, it just comes up with an http error? I need the v1.21 software as I accidentally deleted it when I was deleting some old roms off my card.....
Can anyone send me the files??

For future reference, there are 3 sites you can use to get the 1.21 firmware:

Also, they were down for maintenance recently, that's why you were getting http errors

 

heeeelp, just bought a r4ds, think i might have been sold a clone, wont work with V1.18 firmware or below, any one help? if demonG could email me the v1.21 firmware that would be great.

Everyone with LOADING problems with their R4, google "R4 v1.19 kernel" there is a 1.19 verison... I'm trying it now. Good luck!

 

I re-formatted my R4 - 4GB card and found on the website that was listed on the box, the new - R4-III v3.02 kernel (English) and then downloaded a game and am STILL getting the same "loading" message that doesn't go away.

Any suggestions before I call them to send me a new one??

 

I had the same problem, try the other 2 sites that are on a couple of posts above, the website that came with mine was no good but tried the sdhc one and it worked.
