Hi I have bought a R4 SDHC card and a 4GB micro SD card. I have downloaded the Firmware V1.22 Kernel onto my computer. However, on the R4 website it says : How to update R4 SDHC? After downloading and decompressing the new updated files, there will be one moonshl folder and two files _DS_MENU.DAT, _DS_MSHL.NDS.Copy these files to the root directory of TF card to replace the former files Er.....what? how do i decompress??? and where would i see these when i have done this. It says this should be easy as you just 'drag and drop'... but i haven't even got to this stage yet!!! Can someone help - as i want to install games for my daughter for Christmas. Lisa
once you have downloaded the file, on your computer it will be stored as a .zip or .rar file. If its a .zip (taking it that you are using wimdows) right click it with the mouse, this will give you a load of options, one of which should be extract, use this to unzip the folder, then you should have the files that you want. If its a .rar file then use google to download winrar and use this to unzip.
Hi Thanks for helping. The file was a RAR file. I have downloaded the wrar380 but when i right click on the firmware V1.22 i am not given any options to unzip. All i have got showing is: Open Scan with Open with Share.... send to....... cut copy creat shortcut delete rename properties where next? Lisa
