Ok, this is not about purchasing r4ds, but I have to warn you guys to stay away from Digimartz if possible. Here's what happened to me.

I ordered an item form them using my credit card, got charged for the item but never received it. I sent them a couple of e-mails to inquire about the item. No replies. Three weeks later when I contacted them through their "online support" system, they claimed that they never received the money so they couldn't ship me the item! They then tried again to send me the e-mail that they supposedly had sent to me in response to my previous inquiries, but I never get one in my mailbox.

So, I gave them the benefit of doubt (many things can go wrong in a digital domain, right?) and used my PayPal account this time to purchase the item. A week later, no word on the shipment of the item. When I contacted them again, they said it's SOLD OUT even though it does not say so on their website!

Ok, maybe other people had no problem dealing with Digimartz before. The first difficulty with my placing a credit card purchase could really have been some failure with their ordering system, let alone the problem they may have with their e-mail system. And my latest order will probably go through once the item becomes available.

However, I have lost my faith in this online merchant all together by now with what I had gone through (heck, I don't care if I ever receive the item from them since I have placed the same order somewhere else), and I suggest you avoid them also to make it easier on yourself.

they just raised the price though,to $65.00

then i bought a micro sd card (1 gig) from Best Buy for 15.00

Yeah, that's what I did, I'd say to go that route. Mine came in pristine condition with everything I paid for and worked excellent.

Something for everyone to note: It doesn't matter if you buy the older versions or not, they're so easy to manually update that it's laughable. Mine was out of date, and, with no previous knowledge of the R4 whatsoever, I updated it in less than five minutes. :) It's also fullproof to do.

Was just about to order a r4ds from www.homeworldz.co.uk
The same shop was a sponsored link from google, but through the domain www.consoleworldz.co.uk ???

They are the cheapest uk seller I can find?

Has anyone used them before. I assume its a new shop as there isnt much about them on the net. Thay also do the m3 real, ezflash etc for good prices.

They take credit card so if I use that I should be covered ??

forget the r4 or m3, they are old and outdated, go check out Superard ds one or the new Acekard 2. even the dstt and Edge ds card is better than r4/m3.

I've had no problems with my r4. I only use it to play roms and it does that very well and simple.

Ok, you only have a 2gb max sd card but isnt 55 (ish) games enough ?

r4 only support upto 2Gb max. all new ds cart support SDHC, over 2GB, most upto 8GB. supercard ds one and cycloDS have new features like Real Time Save. Acekard 2 have ROM trimmings. Supercard DS One have Real Time Cheat Code (new codes updated daily). all the ds carts i mentioned earlier can do what r4 does but can do much more and also is cheaper. so u tell me why u still want to buy a r4?

hi sparky, i only have about 20 games on it, i use the rest of space for mp3/jpg and game guides (ebook) ;) granted u dont need huge space for rom storage, but if someone is buying a NEW cart, why not buy a better/cheaper one!

like say you have a r4 and you use it for one ds lite then you take that r4 out and put it in another ds lite will the 2 second ds lite get messed up or it'll work fine like the 1 ds lite
