so is this still a good video card for todays gaming such as crysis and COD4?

or do I have to play my games on low settings and bad quality i know the card only has 256MB of memory and most games need 512MB

my cpu and memory are good so there's no problem there

stupid video cards and being so expensive lol

you'll need to kick it up to the high end cards to play those games. ATi HD3870 512 or nVidia 8800GT 512 is what the members would recommend. also, a new high quality psu to power the card.

Indeed, an X800GT is woefully inadequate for Crysis. COD4 you'll be alright, but Crysis is in a league of its own.

i find it really hard how pc gaming keeps alive when most regular people wont have enough to play most of these games and to run these games at good quality it takes a lot of money.

i guess i better stick to my ps3 gaming lol

Yes, your PS3 which cost as much as you can buy a gaming PC for...
Hmm, not quite sure I agree with that argument, but in any case, the PC vs console debate is not for afterdawn.
