I have set up my first RAID 0 with 2 320GB HDD after researching the internet. The problem (if it is) is that now it shows up as 1 HDD with only 320GB when I go into My Computer. I thought that it was supposed to show a total of 640GB. Is this how it is supposed to be? I used Intel Matrix Storage Manager that came with my computer to accomplish the RAID setup.

    Basic Computer Specs
    HP Media Center m8150n
    Vista Ultimate
    2 320GB HDD
    Intel Quad Core Q6600
    Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS
    3GB PC2-5300 667Mhz RAM

If you need a more detailed spec of my machine, here is the link: HP Media Center PC m8150n.

    Thanks!

Not set up for RAID 1, it is definitely RAID 0 as seen in PIC 1 on the right hand side of the picture. Also, looking at
PIC 2 shows that My Computer has only a total of 288GB. While PIC 1 shows that I have 596.1 GB setup in RAID 0. How could this of happened?

P.S. You might have to click the picture(s) to get a better view.

It did and did not help me. I deleted the 9GB partition and the whole 596.1GB showed up. I was happy until I restarted and could not boot back up into Windows. I tried going into safe mode but to no avail. I had to do a complete restore and lost all my files. I was planning on backing up today, too...for the first time ever. Just my luck. After the recovery, the 596.1GB still showed up and I am still running RAID 0. Using the restore discs, complete restore took a mere 5 hours...too long for me.

Anyways, what is the best RAID setup, 1+0, 5, or 1? I plan on doing one of these in the future.

    Thanks for your help.
