@billyboy...they are only starting to release the details now. It seems like the death toll is now six and soon to be seven. As you can imagine, it's being much talked about here in Philly and where tocool4u lives (Allentown is it?). It makes one contemplative in some ways: you know, six or seven murders in a day won't even make the newpaper in Philly or New York yet that gets international attention....because it's so "unexpected" I would guess. Thing is, there could be any number of explanations. Having had an ex amish guy for a roommate and having become quite close to some amish and mennonites from his family, I can tell you with certainty that they don't exacty have the quiet and sedate, uncomplicated people and lifestyles that the movies would have one believe. Serious amounts of mental illness among the amish from in-family marriages which is against the law...but they marry in their own churches and not by civil law. Their society is far more complex than people realize. [bold]DAMN!!![/bold] A cop just shot himself right in the parking lot! Astrology must be a real mess this week. I should stay home under the covers for the next couple of weeks!
I was listening to Preston and Steve on the Radio this morning and they were talking to an official that was at the crime seen and they are somewhat sure of why he targeted Amish girls. All he could say was that it was something possibley to do with sex and the Amish girls. There was a press conference at noon EST, didn't see it as i was in school. But they were supposed to release the details on what happened. They were saying the Amish forgave the man that killed the little girls. I guess they are really nice caring people. Hopefully the rest of the girls that are still in critical condition make it through, and maybe they can get more information from the girls when they are ready too as they are probubley traumatized right now on what happend.
Oh right. Kindly could one of you post a link to a report on the incident please? Reason being is because i didnt even know there were survivors, especially seeings as it was "execution style" killings (not to sure of how that could really have been but im not asking you to go into much detail).
