ratdvd vs xvid

    I had a question here for people who like to backup their dvds and watch some of their movies on the hard drive. which ones is better or more preferred: ratdvd or xvid?

    Thanx. Just the answer I was looking for. now . . . do you know of any free or paid xvid converters. I know there's some out there, its just thay there's so MANY that if y'alls could give me a recommendation, I'd appreciate it.
