Recently, I have been interested in buying a Portable Video Player (PVP). There are two that I have been looking into especially. The RCA Lyra Audio/Video RD2780 or the Archos AV320. Here is the site for the RCA RD2780:

Here is the site for the Archos AV320:

Could somebody please help me with the advantages and disadvantages of each and which one you recommend. All help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'm also wondering about the iRiver PMP-120. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, i would go for the lyra because that iriver is hella overpriced and also that the Archos does not have the balls to take back anything that breaks down.

Thanks for all the help but I've been doing my research and I think I'm going to go with the Archos AV320. Although it is a little bigger than the RCA, it has better playback and quality and it can record straight from a DVD player or VCR player.

I just got a Archos Gmini 400 and it is working. It is exceptionally small. It lacks the recording features of the 3xx and the bigger 420/480's but now that I have the whole DVD 2 DivX thing figure it works fine. I wouldn't use it as a recorder on my TV anyway (I have a Hauppague PVR that does that).

Did I mention it's small? It is the same size as my Treo 600. Maybe a cm taller than deck of cards and the same thickness.
