Re-recording on DVD+RW ... RCA Recorder

I am just wondering how to record over or delete shows on a DVD+RW disk. It is my understanding that you should be able to record on these disks again just like a blank video cassette.... that is why I spend the extra money on the RW instead of just +R disks.

I don't have the model number of the DVD Recorder infront of me, but it is an RCA.

Any help is appreciated! Merry Christmas!

I don't have the rca, but it should be close. You should have some sort of set up menu where you change your speeds,timer,audio-video setups, and maybe something that says disc media.Should be around where your finalize or make compatable tabs are. disc media tab should say erase, tick erase, then you'll probably have to confirm it and ok it again.I hope this may help you out. That's one thing nice about rw's, you can keep using them over and over again. Happy Holidays to all
