I am using DVD decrypter and tring to make a copy of a wedding DVD which has errors on it and doesn't play well...skips. I am getting the following message : I am getting read errors while trying to decrypt and won't complete the process. Is there a program I can download to repair the disc? Is there something else I can do?

I don't know if there are any freeware apps that will do that but there are a couple of good recovery apps I've read about though I can't remember them off the top of my head. I'll post back when I find them if anyone else hasn't posted them by then.

Found it. It's called Arrowkey CD/DVD Diagnostic. The article says it's based on the company's forensic tool for cops. You can't really "repair" a corrupt disc but this tool sounds like it will recover quite a bit more data, hopefully reducing the number of skips. Here's a link:

Skipping is a classic sign of poor media, using better media in the future will help avoid problems like this :)
