how come i can copy most DVDs but when i insert DVDS now, it works up to about 65% and then it says read errors: 1 retrie, 2 ritries, e.t.c and keeps getting more errors?
can you be a bit more descriptive, plus do some searching, i think i see what you're on about, but it would help if we had more to go on..
[bold]some are coppies[/bold] If those copies are on crappy media or burned too fast, that will give you many errors-thus more difficulty in trying to re-rip them. Run them through a scan test like nero or dvdinfopro to check for errors. http://www.dvdinfopro.com
@saugmon You're quick! Gave excellent advice before I could get back and put in my additional 2 and a half cents worth .;-)
Hello bilbo, I do quite of bit of ri-ripping my backups. Just got the epson r-200,so I'll be re-ripping those onto ink jet printable dvd +r's. I'm just glad I used high quality media and a 4x burn speed on them the first time. So far,100% re-rip success using nero's copy disc feature.A heck of a lot quicker than re-encoding them bad boys onto my hard drive. The disc scans have looked great on these printable/re-rip copies.
Hell no,lol I found some memorex pritables at staples- $25 for 20 of them, what a rip-off.I didn't trust them either, probably prodisc. Verbatim +8x data life plus have worked very well so I bought the full hub printable ones at meritline.com for 70 cents apiece. All those verb datalife plus +8x have been registering as MCC-003,metal AZO dye,and excellent in both my benq's.Both benq's can booktype the + media to dvd-rom,making them more compatable on stand alones. Later
cool. i'll just chip in as i keep my beady eyes on anything Verbatim-related.. keep those positive Verb comments coming, am still yet to have probs with my 8x -R's - always burnt at 4x as per my sig....
