The only dent.dll file that I can find a reference to is associated with some spyware toolbars for Internet Explorer.

    Real does use these codecs.
    ddnt3260.dll DolbyNet(tm) Audio Codec for RealAudio(tm) (32-bit)
    dnet3260.dll DolbyNet(tm) Audio Codec for RealAudio(tm) (32-bit)

Those codec files should be in Real Player. If you don't have them then you may have to do all the updates.
RealPlayer > Tools > Check for Update.

Some slightly older versions of those codecs can be downloaded here and sometimes they work better with StreamBox Ripper anyway.
    ddnt3260.dll

    dnet3260.dll

I do not have any problems ripping CD's with StreamBox Ripper.
I am using the 2.009 version that is included in.
    StreamBox VCR Suite v2.0
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_capture_tools/streambox_vcr_suite.cfm

There is a problem with the CDDB look-up functions, but they can be fairly easily fixed by adding some entries to your hosts file.
Add the following entries to the hosts file:

    64.71.163.204 cddb.cddb.com
    64.71.163.204 cddb.cddb.org
    64.71.163.204 cddb.cddb.net
    64.71.163.204 us.cddb.com
    64.71.163.204 sc.ca.us.cddb.com
    64.71.163.204 sc2.ca.us.cddb.com
    64.71.163.204 sj.ca.us.cddb.com
    64.71.163.204 sj2.ca.us.cddb.com

    As explained here.
    http://www.freedb.org/modules.php?name=Sections&sop=viewarticle&artid=46

I use the GDS Hosts File and Hosts Toggle.
    http://accs-net.com/hosts/
    http://accs-net.com/hosts/HostsToggle/

As for other CD rippers there maybe hundreds of them.
Some very good ones are available right here.

    Hi,

I am having a problem with Streambox Ripper 2.009 and thought that maybe you could help me, please. My OS is Windows XP SP2, initially with Real Player 10.

The thing is that all RealAudio files I convert to either mp3 or wma with the help of Streambox Ripper sound fine only till the 9th or 10th minute, after which the sound becomes garbled. There has been only one file (13 or 14 min) that was not garbled.

What I have tried is this:

    1. Upon getting those dll error messages made copies of the respective dll files and renamed them, so convertion become possible in the first place.

    2. Tried avoiding the drag & drop method, so as to start converting files without playing them.

    3. Renamed ram files to ra which made batch convertion possible.

    4. Replaced the cook3260.dll file with cook3260.dll version 6.0.8.507.

    5. Replaced the cook3260.dll file with cook3260.dll version 6.0.8.2523 (had to download a 9mb rar file on dial up for this)

    6. Finally uninstalled RealPlayer 10 and installed RealPlayer 8 (couldn't find version 9, www.forms.real.com/real/player/blackjack.html doesnt feature it).

None of the above has helped so far and I am beginning to be upset about it! Could someone pleeeease help me?

    Thanks in advance
    Andrew

Thank U Veblin For Your Reply It Helped Me Make My Streambox Ripper Function Again

GUYS FOR EVERYONE ASKING ABOUT THE (RAM) PROBLEM SPECIALY DRKCINEMA
There is no problem all what u have to do is to rename the ram file to rm file and that is easy by changing the extensions

N.B: If u don't see the extension you might have to change your Files Options.

That is all hope i have been useful for u.

    I uninstalled Realplayer 10.5 + downloaded RealOne player v.2.
It installed alright but when I try to play a ra file, I get an automatic download of...Realplayer 10.5 !

Is there a way to eliminate this?

    I've tried.
But there's 'error report' pop up when I convert *rm.
    What's wrong with that?

I had the same problem trying to convert *.r1m files to mp3 or to wav files that many people are refering to.

After banging my head on the wall for hours trying to figure it out, I finally got it!

First, the r1m files cannot be decrypted (as of 11/15/05) so work smart.

    1) Download Net Transport from here: http://www.xi-soft.com/default.htm

    Quick description of Net Transport:
This program can suck files (literally because it is multithreaded) from servers which use the "rtsp://", "mms://" protocols and save them as *.ra or *.wmv or *.asf format

Oh yeah and it is free, yesssss!

    2) Install Net Transport and run it (haha, just incase you didn't know)
    - Right click on the top right sub-window of the program:
    - New Download > URL: > rtsp://your_server_here
    (or mms://your_server_here)
    - Because it is multithreaded you can grab a 2 hour, 32kbps file in about 2 mins. Of course, this won't work for live files! Live files will just come in at regular/live speed.
    - [bold]The result will be a playable, unencoded file![/bold]

    3) Read the first post in this thread as to how to fix RealPlayer 10 and to configure StreamBox 2.009

    4) Drag the file into streambox and convert to any format you want and voila!

    You are done.

PM me if you have any questions.

hi to all, i used to post my problem here about g2 player codec in streambox, i want to convert my rm files but this error dnet appear, but thank's to this forum i get an idea how to solve my problem, so i would like to share it how did i do it, first i remove my real player ver. 10 then i look for an old ver. of real player 8 plus, i installed it then after that i go to program files, common files, real folder then codecs then i select all the files then make a new folder to desktop then paste it there, then remove the old ver. of real player then installed the new real one player, after that, go to your new folder select all the files copy it then go to program files, coomon files, real folder then codecs then paste it, presto you can now convert your rm,ra files to mp3.
i hope this will help your problem.....
