As I understand it, someone is sending you texts and you want to receive them without you having a cell phone. There's a couple of apps near the bottom of the page here- https://www.techdim.com/how-to-rece...thout,your existing cell number at all? More Not sure if they'll do what you want. Why don't you use e-mail instead of texts?
The short answer is no as the recipient has to have a number to send to. The only options i'm aware of is email as mentioned or facebook messenger. Other option is let other party know times you are home & ring.
If you have a Skype account and number then you can receive sms on your computer. It will require subscription but the costs aren't that high. https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA928/how-much-does-it-cost-to-send-sms-messages
I gave your link a glance but I didn't really feel like mining it. I'm sure Skype is buried in there somewhere.
I don't blame you. Here's their comment- "There are other websites, apps, software, and browser extensions available both in paid and free forms to handle SMS on PCs. Some of these are- Google Voice, Twilio, Free Online Phone, Skype, iMessage, Mysms, etc. You can use any of them whichever you find convenient. So, how to receive SMS on PC? Now we hope you know the answer."
