    Here is my problem:

I need to record from an analog video camera that has a RCA cable to a DVD or some other digital recording method. I would prefer not to use a laptop as I've tried easycap, another similar capture device and Hauppage capture card, all of which have been a PIA and now none of these work.

Ideally would be a portable DVD player with recording capabilities, but I have not found such an animal. I need something that my field guys do not need to fool around with to work or even myself. Our old method was to use a TV/VCR combo, but it's so nice to edit the footage and email it to a client. When my personal laptop would work, it was nice, BUT it's my personal laptop for home.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on price, I would even consider a professional recorder.
