I am having a problem when recording from audio cassettes. It sounds like I am recording in my shower. But even after trying to use reverb option in Nero 5 it is still the same. I have tried it through the amp and straight from the cassette player to no avail. Any ideas?

This is weird but it has worked for me. If you don't have a polarized plug or a plug with a ground prong, then just reverse the way it's plugged in [180 degrees].

When I recorded cassettes, I used Nero's WaveEditor instead and it worked great.

If you are using an amp, then you might have the output volume set too high.

But if you are using a pre-out from the cassette deck, then maybe the input is set too high with Nero?
