Why when I convert a decent quality avi file to mpeg does it have some scenes that tend to have a red tint to them? I'm using tmpgenc pro to convert them. Any suggestions?

Yes it is the cracked version. Is that my problem?

Okay, I just installed the basic version (uncracked) and ran a preview on an avi file. The same thing happens. There is a red tint that comes and goes in some scenes.

Just in case there's anyone out there with a simular problem, here's how I solved this. I first tried different encoders with the same results (scenes seemed to fade in and out with a red tint). I then decided it must be a codec problem. I uninstalled Nimo 4.4 coded pack and rebooted. I then reinstalled it and AFTER that, I reinstalled my SMR codec patch answering yes when prompted to overwrite. My movies now are crystal clear. Hope this helps someone.
