    Hello,

My sister has sent me over some DVD's from America but they don't work in my Stand alone DVD player. They do however work fine on my computer. Is there any way I can edit them on the computer and copy back to CD or DVD in the correct region?

    cheers,

    jono

Probably worthwhile looking into a all-region patch for your standalone player.

But anyway, you can clear the Region code during the Ripping phase using DVDdecrypter, or later using IFOedit. www.doom9.org has guides on how to use IFOedit that is worthwhile reading. You can then burn the region-code-less version onto a DVD-R.

Thanks for your reply. I have already searched for a hack for my JVC HR-XV1EK DVD/Video but there arn't any. Armed with your advise I will try and rip it.

    cheers,
