My Lacie Porsche 298gb drive blew up recently - smoke came out the bottom - can I rehouse the drive in a new enclosure?

If so where do I get a compatible enclosure?

Most computer stores sell external enclosures. The Lacie should be a 2.5 inch drive. You just need to make sure the drive itself is still good before buying a new one. Here are a few places that sell them in the USA.It would be best to take the drive with you so you get the correct one. Some drives are Sata and some are Ide/Pata and have different connectors.
