REMOTE DESKTOP NEED HELP!!

    hello
    so he is the thing - i come to school one day and i see these guys connectin to their home computers with some type of remote connection software, the schools computers have a security thing that blocks almost anything, i tryed the remote desktop utility that is built into windows xp but it did not work, then i tryed ssh and vnc, but neither of them worked, can anyone help??
