Remote for VCR

    Im using a universal remote now for my VCR.
    The problem is, the recording mode is set to EP.
    I cant change it to SP mode becuase i dont have the original remote.
    Theres no button on the unit that lets me do this.
    Besides forking out cash for the original remote, is there a way i can bypass it myself and change it?

    Try putting in a take that you know is in SP. After that you vcr should be set for the SP mode when you go to tape. Instant record anyway should work that way.
