Bought PVR Starview. Put in code on remote for Sony LCD TV. TV turned off and on but pressing numeric keys just changes channels on TV ie the remote is just acting like a remote for the TV. None of the other Menu, OK or Exit etc. buttons work. Tried all codes, two worked but as above. Without operational remote can't check EMU etc. although this was a pre flashed, plug and play version. Then scanned on auto scan for channels on right network but all came up scrambled even though it found them all and labeled them. Any ideas?

    PVR

Go to parental control in receiver menu

    press ( i or info button) + (2007)

key and emu buttons should now be visible
switch key emu to on position
go to scrambled channel and wait for update .

If you scanned and got all channels then your remote is fine

Hi thanks for reply. I can't do what you suggested as the remote doesn't seem to work properly. I did try the camera phone and only the numeric keys work. OK, Menu, Exit etc. don't so I can't get into the info etc. Its a brand new PVR which was supposed to be plug and play so I assume it had up to date software. So it should work shouldn't it?

    Thanks.
