Removing Voice From Music ?

    I need to remove the voice from music so I am just left with the music and no one singing, is this possible if so what programme do I need. I have been trying with Sound Forge but without success. Please can anyone help.

    I dont think it is possible unless you have a recording studio! I tried a couple of months back with not much joy. I managed to get the voice a lot quieter but I could still hear it faintly.

    Try using Steinberg's Wavelab. Then you can download a patch/plug in that removes vocals from officially released CD's.

    Hmm.. i tried this, i used Addobe audition 1.5.. But if the voice has reverb so the reverb goes in stereo its impossible to remove it.. So the voice usually goes in the mono channel drums and other stuff goes in stereo.. Wich song do you want to remove the voice from?

    What I'm trying to do is remove the voice from certain songs so I'm left with just the music so a choir can use the music as backing.

    I used BlazeAudio RipEditBurn2 Trial and deleted the center track and then saved only the music..however, it sounded a bit distorted. I didn't do any further work, just tried it as an experiment.
