I've got a friend who's drive died before he installed his chip. How do I go about replacing an already failed drive. He's got a v 1.6 and I've got a Xenium Ice ready to drop into it. Chips a piece of cake.

I do have several boxes here with good drives if I need files. Can I copy the c: and e: from any box or does it need to be the original files? If from any box, does it need to be the same version?

How does the box identify with the drive?

    Thanks

    Toga

if you use a stock hd i think it should work fine if the hd is unlocked...but the only problem might be is if he wants to connect to LIVE.
