    Hi all

I have a sony davs800 all in one surround sound unit. I would like to replace the dvd player with possibly a DVD Recorder or a DVD HDD.

What I need to know is that is there any make/model recorder or hdd which would allow me to continue to use my surround sound speakers/woofers. I wouldnt mind if I have to cut my existing connecters and use the bare wire but so far I have been unable to find out any information.

    Please Help!!!!!

Hi Wicksy from what I know if its a all in one unit I don't believe you can replace it due to the fact that the all in one systems have the amplifer already built into it the only way around it that I know of is to replace the whole thing. On the other hand I have heard quite a bit of good things about the sony davs800 well anywaise I hope this info helps.
