Hi All Sorry if this is in the wrong place or this has been answered before. Just point me in the right direction. Very new to me but I am willing to learn. I have a Replay Lite box and have been away on holiday. On my return when I put on my box. All the channels were gone so I did a full scan and it did not find any. I have downloaded the software and reset my box but still does not find any channels. I have even taken my box across the road to a mate’s house (as he has the same box) but still no luck. I know it’s not the signal as other boxes work. I am in the Hertfordshire area and on Virgin (NTL before) any help in the right direction would be very helpful. Thanks
Hi xpharry, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. If you have a null modem lead you can clone your box from your mates. CLONING THE REPLAY LITE Simply plug in the GOOD box – attach a null modem cable to the back. Take the your box; put it on top of the GOOD box, Plug in the null modem lead THEN FINALLY plug the power into the your box. It will then start cloning from the your mates box. During this time the red/green light will blink SLOWLY When the red/green light starts blinking very QUICKLY – it’s cloned. Unplug the your box first; remove the null modem leads from both boxes Plug in the your box, wait for it to come on THEN connect the TV leads. To clone a box takes 3mins 42 secs. From the time you plug in the second box. So if you give it 4mins then it should be ok. Even if you let it run for 5 minutes it won't harm the box. But make sure the led is flashing much more quickly than it did when you first powered the box for cloning. Then all your mates channels and favourites will be on your box. So you won't have to do a scan. If that doesn't work, come back here again, but go to the main replay lite page in the link below. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/502990/3490703-756870 Hope this helps you Harry, good luck m8. If I am not around there are lots of other people on there who help you and you will get a far quicker reply.
Hi thanks for the reply. I will try this on Saturday (as have to work until then poor me!!) and will let you know and thanks again for the quick response. Cheers XPHarry
The best of luck xpharry. it will work out fine for you, just make sure you plug in your box after your mates is plugged in and the null modem lead is connected. And when the transfer is complete after about 4-5mins unplug your box first. It should work OK. Don't work too hard xp. Cheers m8.
Hi Just to say thanks very much for helping me and it is all working fine now. Once again a big thank-you Xpharry PS I never work to hard lol (unless the boss is about)
