this sounds like it picked up the channels at the wrong frequency, if you have done a manual scan to no avail, then i would certainly try to use someones channel dump. if any of the other boxes are working properly, then you could download its channel dump to your computer, flash all three boxes, then reload the channel dump to the replays. wheelo
I scanned the box on 6887 as in pure empty heell south wales. Is worth a try as my nans box has not yet been flashed and all channels i got probs with work on hers, could get channel dump off that and write it to my problem box as a test. Do you have a channel dump by any chance? Cheers mate
Hi Warby. I've the very same symptoms :-( I'vew tried a number of things without success. Will let you know if I get a fix
If your nan has the same provider and is the same general area, get the channel frequency from her, and try a manual scan on that frequency. Or else upload her channels to your pc and then download them on to the other boxes. There is a guide on how to do that here: To backup your saved channels and favourites. Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box. Open up the stb link. Setup Comm. Click Read User Data The file will be called Factory_Data.txt There will be 64 blocks to download from the box. Save it to your desktop and rename it what you want. _____________________________________________ You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop. But when you have established a connection with the stb link Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop. There will be 64 blocks to upload. Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.
My sister has a working replay and tonight i'm getting her to bring it over to my house and see if it all works. I'll let you know tomorrow
I have a strange problem with mine since the new flash the remote control doesnt work - any ideas? Has happened on two boxes now - mine and my mates... havent got a clue how to fix it!! tried new batts etc!
Unless your remote stopped working. Look at it through a digital camera and press a button on the remote, if you see a red light the remote is working.
Cheers Evastar, nan lives up the road so all same area etc. Cant understand it have had no problems like this pre 28/12/08 was thinking may have been issue with FW but downloaded this again and still the same on 2 boxes. (Weird) Will get the other box and do channel dump and see what happens. Cheers
You have tried deleting the affected channels and doing a manual scan on the correct frequency, they should appear at the end of the list. Sometimes the cable companies move channels around, i know here in dublin at the moment some of the discovery channels aren't available.
Never been succesful in getting the channels doing a manual scan, maybe i am doing something wrong lol.
Quick update on the remote control issue - rescan has sorted - thanks for your time and advice on this matter and the 28122008 flash seems to be working just great!!! cheers!
Hey Warby. Are you nin the Beaumont area by any chance. Thats where I am and having same problems (and only since eof December)
I think he said he is in wales. I am in north dublin and have been missing a few channels with n*l, discovery +1 and a couple of others. But it is not the replay, everyone is missing them, and they are not available on my n*l box either.
