The old thread is still available, you can search thru it for the answers you need.
I shan't be opening any long-running threads such as those until firmware has been released for the various boxes and thus the hordes of panic-posters/thread hijackers are once again content watching their 6782 channels of God knows what.

That's the answer i expected to get. So... let me do some amateur psychology here - you don't want to read thru the first or even the last page for the answers you want, or even do a google search such as (for example) "afterdawn replay lite parental control" (which just worked for me btw, it took me to page 100)...

..but you want the thread to be opened so that you can reply to it, asking a question that's already been asked (many times i imagine) in that self same thread, in the hope that someone will spoonfeed you the (same) answer ?...

I've never used one of these boxes before and if i did, i'd search for the answers until i found what i needed, whether i understood the answers or not. I detest asking anybody for help, at work, home or on forums, but my point is that all the info you can eat is there in those 200+ pages (never mind the fact that a thread like that should never be longer than a handful of pages, but i digress).
Maybe i'm old fashioned but in 32000+ posts here i've only ever asked a maximum of half a dozen questions. Not because i'm clever, but because i search and search until i find what i want or need. The info is all here or out on the rest of the internet, understanding it is easy (most of the time it's not even necessary) as all the hard work has been done for you, it's free help there for the taking..

edited for spelling; plus my reply isn't meant to be patronising, it's my honest view..

    BUT

"I detest asking anybody for help, at work, home or on forums"

I wouldn't know a Reply Lite firmware from a plum pudding i'm afraid. Plus i don't know what differentiates the various different cable boxes so keep your eyes peeled on the main sticky.

k1cul You've had a detailed and honest reply from me. Due to your attitude you've just gained 2 days away from the site. Why do i bother wasting breath on ungrateful people when i could be using that time to help other people.

    *sighs*

in my opinion you did not give a detailed and honest reply . you tried to belittle a newbie debates and discussions are for forums or bb ,i would not have expected to be give this sort treatement for asking a question and i am neither ungrateful or stupid all said and done help is all most people are asking for which i found this site extremely help full untill your intervention and attack on my self as i said this was discussion and " There is absolutely no need to nitpick on the posts of new users" no14 so lets put this tit or tat to bed

I will say this one last time. I gave a detailed and honest reply. Period.
You are now teetering on shaky ground as the point of account suspensions is not for people to sign back up with another account, and it's certainly not so that said people can come back to continue badmouthing/arguing with moderators.

I will permanently deactivate this new username and politely request that you do not sign up with another account and await the original account's suspension. I will not tolerate abusive people, especially those who persistently call me a liar. If you continue to create new accounts they will be removed and keep being removed until you cease to become a nuisance. Feel free to report my 'conduct' to the Admins of this site if you so wish.

Creaky, please close this thread, as it seems to be turning into pages of rubbish. When the new firmware is out we can create a new Replay Lite thread. Right now, this one seems pointless.
