    Hey all...
Dunno if it's just me but since upgrading my Replay Lite firmware to 9.06 beta, every evening at about 6pm I get the 'NA:Scrambled' message on screen and I can't view any channels apart from RTE2, TV3 & Setanta Sports. This normally stays this way for about an hour and then I can view all the channels again. I've tried putting the firmware on the box again a number of times but it's the same all the time. I've also tried downgrading the firmware back to 7.52 or even 7.44 (to see if it's actually the software causing this scrambled problem) but it seems after the upgrade to 9.06, it's not possible to do this (downgrade) anymore. I get the message 'incorrect BIN file' when I know there's nothing wrong with the BIN files. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi CBX2000, can't say I've noticed it but I've the updated software on the box and have had no issues with it since . I've heard that nthell are dicking around with the codes and signals so that may be what's causing it. Also check your connections as the usual cause of NA Scrambled is a bad signal/connection. I'm open to correction here but I've had that msg before on the box in my kitchen and found that the cable was out of the main signal box in the living room. Once I reconnected it, the channels came right back.
    Hope it's been helpful.

    Cheers,

Can anyone confirm if it is or not possible to reverse the upgrade to 9.06?

HI there, in d16 running a replay lite on nthell, usually get the codes off here, but it's gone down and I can't find any.

Anyone got the new nthell codes. Thanks, in advance.

    It's possible Gman,

    Flash with 742a,
    then with 752.

I just tried it to see would it work and it did.

Only drawback is you loose all your saved channels and favourites so backup your channels before doing anything.

To backup your saved channels and favourites.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
    Open up the stb link.
    Setup Comm.
    Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and rename it what you want.
    _____________________________________________

If at a later date you do a full rescan and find nothing,
You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
But when you have established a connection with the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.
    ___________________________________________________

I have just loaded a file in the library, (link at the bottom of this post.)
It’s all my channels and favourites as I have them on my Replay Lite in Dublin
    Click on the link.
    Go to the replay folder.
Then the replay channel dump files.
Download Brian chan fav feb 29 2008 to your desktop.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
    Open up the stb link.
    Setup Comm.

    Click Write Factory Data
and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
These will then transfer from to your Replay lite.
Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light before unplugging the null modem lead.

    Unplug the box.

Power it back up again and all my channels and fav’s will be stored on your box.

Use the Channel Manager to rename Favourites.

    1 General TV
    2 Movies
    3 Sports
    4 Music
    5 Kids
    6 Documentaries
    7 News
    8 Others.

The Beta 9.06 software works great on my box,
so I think any problems could be with the cable connection, especially if it's coming through a splitter.

Well how are you Mr Brian ;-)

I have no issue with v9.06 either Brian (Aside from the fact that it does not have the ability to clone)

I was just curious after reading an earlier post where someone mentioned it couldn't be done.

    Anyway Brian,

Have you any Info on the status of the full release of v9.06 & if it will have the cloning optioned turned on for sure?

    Hi Gman,

Hopefully the full release be out soon and it should have the cloning function fully working.

I think any problems would be the signal going into the box.

I know a guy in Vietmun and the signal isn't great there, so the box glitches now and again but only at certain times of the day.

From what I have seen on other forums, generally the new software is OK.

Hope you are keeping well my friend.

    All the best M8

Hey CBX2000. I'm in Dublin 18 and over the past few weeks have experienced scrambled message at approx 6pm. Not every day but certainly too many times for it to be a coincidence. It's NOT related to the 9.06 upgrade though as I had this problem before upgrading.

In my case it usually sorts itself out in a few minutes though. I thought it was probably nHell switching codes or something.

Exactly the same issue here in Galway West @ 6.00pm Approx most evenings, & it's happening on both 7.52 and 9.06 so it's most likely the gremlins wanting to upset the news!

    Thanks for the replies...
Looks like it isn't just me that's having the problem with the box going off at 6 then. Wonder what it is? Was getting worried too that the replay couldn't be downgraded but if you've to start at 7.42a and work your way up that's fine. The new firmware is so much better than the last versions and with a working EPG too!

Oh! no, what are we going to do?

I wonder if we moved Liverpool to another channel?

Brian better get on to the Guru's fast, this is totally unacceptable ;-)

    Hi lyndon,

    Menu,
    Parental lock,
    Goto Key Manager
    Current key,
    Auto update On
It has to be in the On position to update keys when they change with this new software.

You should be sorted then, you should also change the password back to 0000 and with this software, Parental Lock can be left in the On position.

Hi all, plese forgive in advance this question, but does replay lite work on a ordinary aerial on a roof down in the midlands. I read it works on MMDS but is that only for cable. Thanks in advance Scati.
