CLONING THE REPLAY LITE

Simply plug in the GOOD box – attach a null modem cable to the back. L71BT
Make sure it has this partnumber on it as an ordinary rs232 cable wont work


Take the new box; put it on top of the GOOD box,

Plug in the null modem lead into both boxes.


THEN FINALLY plug the power into the second unit. It will then start cloning from the master.


During this time the red/green light will blink SLOWLY

When the red/green light starts blinking very QUICKLY – it’s cloned.

Unplug the second box; remove the null modem leads from both boxes

Plug in the second box, wait for it to come on THEN connect the TV leads.



To clone a box takes 3mins 42 secs. From the time you plug in the second box. So if you give it 4mins then it should be ok.
But make sure the led is flashing much more quickly than it did when you first powered the box for cloning.


When the Good box is transfering the files to your dodgy box.
the light on the front will flicker slowly like this.

Wait till your PC says all files transfered and wait until to see the light flicker much quicker than it was when it was transferring the files.

Just like this.Rapid


Then unplug your dodgy box, take out the null modem cable.
\power back your dodgy box, wait for the light to turn green snd stsy on green

Then conect your Scart an Rf leads and ou should be good to go

Just to let all in the south wales area know that the codes given earlier (mine were given by a friend)& also here don't seem to work, but please refer to the codes given to me by gman as they have worked tonight.

Yea, installed the Eurovox update for a mate and it worked fine. The Starview update is also out and working but only being released for genuine boxes. Wont work on the clone versions which there seem to be a lot of after being on sale at Fairyhouse Market. Developers say they are only supporting genuine starview boxes in future so there will be no new flash for the Starview clones.

A very reliable source tells me that the Replay Lite flash is at an advance stage and should be circulated in the usual way over the next few days.

Is it likely that the replay lite firmware you refer too will be be suitable on the replay pvr??

 

Not quite sure. In previous releases some were specifically for the Replay Lite or the Replay Personal Video Recorder while others were suitable for both. Don't think we will know what the programme writers have in mind till its released.

 

For anyone who is cloning one box off another.


If your box Has the Beta 9.06 software on it, you cannot clone with that version of the software.

To check what software is on your box.

Menu.
Receiver Information.........OK

SW Version : 752, this is OK to clone with.

SW Version : 9.06 this software cannot be used for the cloning method.

To get your prov id on Replay Lite just go to Menu - Parental Lock - Key Manager - Current Key. Your prov id will be shown without "x" in the middle. i.e N*hell 00x55 will be shown in Current Key as 0055

 

Brian ,Hello there just a small question with regards to firm softwear i run the 752 softwear ,u say the 9.06 softwear cant be used in the cloning process ok but witch of the softwear is more stable at this current time ,also thanks for all your help that i have seen in the past week on the subject of this Box Im learning Obee one thanks for all your tips over the last week learnt a few things i didnt no about it . Thanks once again

 

hi can someone tell me what is the currant software version for the replay box is and every time i change the provider id to 55 on my replay box and exit, when i go back into the menu it has changed it self back to 01, any help would be appreciated

 

The current software version is either 9.06 or 7.52. A new version is awaited which will auto toll with the codes.

Your prov id does not change and you cannot change it. When you enter the nagra page you use the arrow keys to "go to" your provider id. it does not change it. There if your provider id was four arrows to the left when you changed your codes it will still be four arrows to the left when you go back in. They are simply stored in that order. If you go to current key you will see your provider id and the row of codes currently being used by the channel you are watching.
