Replay Lite

The latest Firmware for the Replay Lite (Ireland) is v7.52 & you can get it here: http://www.speedyshare.com/951534257.html

The handiest thing to do is get one box with both the latest Firmware & all the channels scanned first, then just clone the others. Each clone only takes about 5 mins whereas a channel scan can take 20mins or more.
Either way will work so it's up to you? but there's no point in making the job any harder ;-)

Do you have the software to actually flash the new firmware?

 

I dont need software to flash it if im just going to clone the box from another box do i with the null cable??

Also, when i scan for channels i get them all in 56 seconds, i used to be a clown and wait full 20-25 mins for full channel scan but get the same as i do if i wait 56 secs so i just use that way instead, much easier.

 

Well then, if you already have one box with the latest Firmware & scanning is not an issue? then "Yes" clone the others from the one you just got & away you go.

Enlighten this clown about the 56Sec scan?

as for the 56 sec scan, pretty straight forward, dunno where you are or if it will work but my box starts scanning in the auto scan from about 162.00 mhz but it doesnt actually pick up channels until it reaches apprx. 339.5 or something, and even then when you leave it for 25 mins it picks up lots of channels twice and your no better off so haveing tried leaving the scan for over an hour and stopping it after 56 secs i found i get exactly the same amount of channels so i simply set the start frequency in auto search (up the top) to 338.6 and then press start, within 5 seconds the channels start to come in and being as sad as i am i timed it one night and it took 56 seconds to get every channel available.

But like i said i dunno where you are or if it will work for you, hopefully it does.

CAUTION
Before you clone from the new box ensure that it actually has bootloader firmware on it. Replay Lite boxes are sold with Satellite software on them, not Cable box software. If the box has the latest cable software on it, it would have all the channels. Get this box working first b4 you clone from it or you will be left with all 3 boxes in with no cable software on them and will have to use a very early version flash to get them back as 7.50/7.52 are only updates and do not contain a bootloader.

Cheers for giving me a shout on this, but can i ask how i will know if there is bootloader software on the box or not??#

The chap i buy from usually sends me the boxes pre-flashed and ready to go, but last week he mailed me the updated firmware (Ver 7.5 i think it was) to upgrade the boxes but my desktop and laptop dont have 9-pins on the back so i was having difficulty establishing a connection so he said he would send me a new one flashed with most up to date firmware so that i can simply clone the boxes from that one and so on.

Does that sound ok to you??

Just connect the box he sends you to the TV & if it works ok? then it's fine to clone it to your original box.

Lads, does anybody know if the Replay Lite will work (pick up all channels) in the Meath area close to Kinnegad / Clonard / Enfield on Chorus newtork as opposed to NTL?

If so is there anything special ya need to do to the box or will the normal firmware work.

hi guys and girls, can somebody please tell how to get my channels unscrambled on the replay lite firmwire 7.44 i had it working before but my dad switched off the box from the mains and now it dont work anybody know how to get it to work again thanks spiro

 

I am in Dublin so keys below may not be the most up-to-date. The instructions for entry will be the same though.

Manual Instructions for key entry in Replay Lite


1. Menu

2. Installation

3. Parental Lock

4. Red Audio Button for Goto Key Manager

5. Choose the top option and turn OFF the auto update.

6. Press the Blue button to choose the NAGRA option

6. Use the left scroll button to get to your Provider ID which will be one of the following:
Three arrows back take you to 'Prov ID 0x5B' which is TW
Four arrows back takes you to 'Prov ID 0X55' which is Ntell
Five arrows back takes you to 'Prov ID 0XC1' which is ex C&W etc

7. When you select your provider, one arrow down takes you to the 0x00 - i.e. Key 0. Press OK

8. Up pops the HEX Keyboard - just type in the new numbers - it puts the dots in for you. Do this for Key 01 as well.

9. Exit out

10. Use above instructions to go back in and turn back on Install Lock and then Auto Update.

I have searched a few posting boards and think these are the latest keys for TW area. If they have changed since just post a request for latest codes in former TW area and someone in that area will get them off their Replay Lite for you

The latest Replay Lite software seems to be restricted to two Symbol Ratings 6887 for Nthell and 6952 TW in the UK. C*0ru$ in Ire uses a different Symbol Rating and I am therefore not sure if it will pick it up with the latest software. I know the starview works on that network though. Soneone else on that network might be able to shed more light on it for you though.

Make sure you have switched off auto update b4 you enter the codes. As you are still using 7.44 you may aswell leave it off as that version no longer updates.

Check to make sure that you are entering under the proper provider ID.
To do this press Menu > Installation > Parental Lock > Red Audio Button for Goto Key Manager > Current Key

Check your Provider ID then press exit once and then press blue to go to Nagra. Use Left arrow to scroll back to the provider ID that you saw in "Current Key" and enter the codes again.

If this does not help I would strongly suggest that you upgrade to version 7.52 which updates itself to the codes. You will find it here. http://rapidshare.com/files/35886412/Replay_Lite_752_uk.zip.html

Full step by step instrctions are enclosed and all you need is a pc and a 9 pin null modem cable.

hi all
Is anyone having this problem and can help me solve it. I updated 2 of my friends boxes with the 752 software. Working fine to start with even after code change last wk but now they're getting 1800 scrambled. Can't understand why seeing as they must have autoupdated themselves when the codes changed but now they're not bringing anything in. Has anyone had this happen or has any ideas.
