It depends on what software you have on your box now and your stance on risktaking.
If its 7.52 you will probably be ok as it seems to have worked for someone a few pages back.

I had 9.06B on mine and didnt want to risk anything going wrong so I saved my favourites, went back to 7.42A and then to 9.10 and then put my favs back on.

Only took about 2mins to unsramble as soon as I turned autoupdate on.

Whole process took about a half hour.

Thanks for all the info lads, were back up and running here! :)

To backup your saved channels and favourites.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
    Open up the stb link.
    Setup Comm.
    Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and rename it what you want.
    _____________________________________________

If at a later date you do a full rescan and find nothing,
You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
But when you have established a connection with the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.

Please note that when you flash the box with this you will have to do a full rescan, so backup your channels and Fav’s to your PC.

    See brians post here:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/132/502990

Saving the favs is the first thing on the list. Its just a txt file the box spits out when you ask it too. Very simple.
You can then put it back on the box when youre done upgrading.

I assume you have all the cables etc...
And have d/l the stb and the new bin file.
There all in that post anyways

You will probably get away with flashing with 9.10 without going back to 7.42A but as I didnt i cant guarantee you it will work.

just to let people im on telepest in london and just flashed the beta Replay Lite 910 and here are my results

all chanels are working and the new interface looks cool it takes a long time to goto the key manager from the perental lock thought it crashed first time mabee it did seemed to frreze when the chanels were scrambled and had to pull power quick in and out with fingers crossed(hoping didnt have to do a rescan, i think we all know that one.)
Not sure about this one but think the pitcure seems to be of a lower quality.

Hope this it the place to report on the beta if not tell me where to post hope this helps all u programers.

and tks again 4 all ur great work we all aprecate it.

does anyont know when a stable(not betea) version will be released(im not moaning)

The software writer recommend flash with 742a first then 910.

Some people have just jumped from 752 to 910 and it worked for them.

When the new software is installed the keys will Autoroll, so no need for key inputting.

Lads just letting you know that I cloned 3 boxes to 910 last night from 906beta, all the boxes crashed before finding the codes (but then again so did the one I did properly) I did think the OSD looked a bit fuzzier than usual... tho it may just have been late... but anyway, prob is best to 742A it first as Brian says. Great to have the software, kudos

I flashed my box from 906beta to 910 and it works perfectly.
Can I clone my mates boxes which are on 7.56 to 910 now or do I have to flash them with stblink?
