Replay Lite

    Just onto someone at home lads, seems only SOME of the channels are gone, most of the sky movies channels etc are still ok??

    How come???

    Yea same problem here. That happened before when I was on 7.44 when they would change one set of codes.

    Its just come back now just took a few minutes to unscramble for some reason.

    novice mate.. i never downloaded the stuff onto my box.. i am waiting on a cable.. so if you of any1 knows new codes i would thankful

    They done a full change on the first set of codes (00). the second is still the same

    00: 29 C5 32 FA 51 A6 50 02
    01: 19 CB 80 AE 18 AA 08 41

    can someone tell me why after "cloning" 744 replay lite box using null modem cable and 752 box that has been "flashed" code still managed to change ???

    There was a slight glitch in Dublin this afternoon when Nthell completely changed one line of codes and it took the Replay Lite quite a few minutes to automatically find the new codes. Other than that I have not heard any reports of 7.52 not updating.

    I dont mean to be smart when I ask the following but are you sure that the cloning went in the right direction and did not copy the 7.44 to the 7.52?

    If your original 7.52 is updating on its own the other one, regardless of software already installed, should be an exact copy and should work exactly the same. Other than that it might be that it did not clone fully due to a loose null modem cable during cloning.

    Presume it did clone from 752 to 744 as menu format on 752 installed itself on my 744
    Tks for that if it happens again i'll try re cloning

    SORRY TO BE A NERD BUT I WAS THINKING OF BUYING A REPLAY LITE BOX FROM A EBAY SELLER AND HE SAID IT WAS FULLY UPDATED BUT AFTER READING THE LAST FEW PAGES I,M A WEE BIT NERVOUS THE STATIONS MAY GO AND I WILL BE OUT OF POCKET CAN ANY ONE BE CERTAIN THE STATIONS WILL STAY FOR A YEAR AT LEAST OR WILL I WAIT??? (PS DYING TO GET ONE BEFORE FOOTIE STARTS )

    help!!!!!!!

    I HAVE A REPLAY LITE BOX. IT WAS WORKING OK AND I WANTED TO UPGRADE IT SO AS NOT TO HAVE TO CHANGE CODES WHEN NHELL CHANGED THE CODES.
    I CONNECTED IT MY PC AND IT READ THAT THE BOX WAS CONNECTED. I THEN FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS.
    PRESS UPGRADE BUTTON. FLASHED IT WITH 752,THE LED ON THE BOX FLASHED RED/GREEN ON THE BOX. WHEN THE STB STATED TRANSFER OF BLOCKS COMPLETE THE RED LIGHT CAME ON THE BOX AND NOW I HAVE A DEAD BOX. I HAVE TRIED UNPLUGGING IT SEVERAL TIMES BUT THE LIGHT STAYS RED.
    I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG OR I HAVE A BOGEY 752 FILE, BUT I GOT IT ON THIS FORUM, SO I MUST BE THICK.
    CAN ANYONE HELP A POOR THICK PLEASE????????

    When the box is updating it flashes slowly between Red & Green. Then the software reports it's 100% but "You must wait" until the light starts to flash Red & Green really quickly before it is really finished & safe to plug out. This takes a bit longer then the software actually reports. Do you have access to anyone with a working box? if you do you could clone yours from theirs.

    I TRIED LEAVING ON THE BOX FOR 5 MINS BUT IT STILL STAYS RED AND DEAD LIKE ME POOR HEAD. I AM USING A NULL MODEM CABLE AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING OK. I HAVE WINDOWS XP WITH ALL THE UPDATED SOFTWARE AND I TRIED CLONING IT FROM ANOTHER BOX BUT NO LUCK.

    Hi, I had the same problems and managed to sort it eventually. The problem with mine was - at the very end I unplugged the power too soon and yes a dead box , just red Led.
    You will need to re-flash, I reflashed with 7.44 which came with my box as I had read on this forum it may need some software to search for channels. You connet up as you did earlier, it will say no connection established but you press continue, it then says you may loose your data press ok. Your box will re-flash, now be patient when your pc says all blocks completed, look at your box for up to 2 mins before the led blinks fast, when it does power off and on again. You will need to do a channel search again, up to an hour for this to complete. After this make sure your auto update is on.
    I thought my box was dead and gone to it's new home in the sky, but no it's a fighter and lives on, and thanks to all the forum members who are great and patient, I needed that when mine went down cause you want it sorted and sorted now, good luck.

    Follow the instructions given above by 1960 and load 7.44 again. I have posted it at the following link for you.

    When you have loaded it you should search for channels. When you have done that you can then upload 7.52.

    Remember when flashing DO NOT unplug Replay Lite until the red/green light on the box start to flash rapidly.

    Do exactly as the previous posters suggested Brian, the reason you need to flas with 744 first is because 744 is the full software package which includes the bootloader files needed to start the box, 752 is only an update & should only be applied to a box once it is fully working & has all channels scanned. Keep in touch & let us know how you get on. Remember! be patient when you think the flash is complete, wait!, wait! until you definitely see that red & green light flashing very, very fast.

    This is for Karlzips.... You can buy a Replay Lite in confidence as long as it has the latest software on it (752) which I am sure it will have if the seller is worth his salt.

    752 works perfectly, as good as all the other boxes. NTL went down for a bit in Dublin while they switched between ROMS and everything was slow to update, the problem was with the cable company and not with the replay's/starviews/eurovoxes etc.

    Morning lads,

    Wondering if someone can help me, yesterday during all the problems with NTL and codes and stuff, one of my boxes went down but the one upstairs didnt. I cloned both boxes off one with updated firmware last weekend and was pretty sure that the clone was successful as it copied over all the channels in proper order and my favorites listings etc, so how come one box updated itself and the other didnt??

    Also, even the one that did update itself showed me different codes to the ones provided on the forum yesterday, but the codes provided on the forum got the box downstairs back up and running??

    Any ideas why that happened???

    Double check what firmware is on the box by going into RECEIVER INFORMATION (I think that is what it is called) in the menu.

    It should be 752.

    The box that went down was either switched off during the code change or shortly afterwards. It then took it some time to get the codes which was a network problem not a problem with the box.

    The one that did not go down and was still working on the old codes was obvioulsy still switched on during the code change and would continue to do so until it was switched off. The box generally only needs updates to new codes when it has been unplugged and then switched back on. You will probably have noticed a number of postings above from people who are still running v7.44 stating that they accidentally unplugged the box and therefore need the new codes.

    Thats a great help but can i ask why the codes i had to input manually were different to those that the working box picked up automatically???
