    Thanks Fergus and Moggser!!

I have 1 more question please, can I update to 742A then immediatley update again to 9.10? Or when I have updated to 742A do I need to connect TV cables and do a full scan and THEN update to 9.10?

    Hunter.

    Hunter,

The reason for the bad flash is because you unplugged the box before the flash was complete.

Connect the Null modem lead from your box to your PC.

Open up the Stblink and select "Run"

    DON'T do the Setup Comm.

Untick the "Maintain User Data" box.

Ignore the error message you will receive.

Select "Upgrade Software" and get the 742A file.

It will then start to transfer to you box.

When your PC reads "Transfer Complete" WAIT another couple of minutes before unplugging.

When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed[IMG]

DON'T unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed
    [IMG]

When the flash is complete, unplug the box, null modem lead and exit the Stblink.

Power up the box again and WAIT until the light on the front goes Green.

Then do the above with the 910 file.

    Then do your Auto Search.

    Howdy AmtChef,

I had similar problem a couple of weeks ago with one of my replay boxes and I've reloaded 9.10 and did a rescan of all the channels and all appears OK since. Give it a try...it only takes abour 10 mins to complete...Cheers....The Scaldy One!!!

    Evening peeps.

    ok:
i connected null modem, , then updated to 742a. that was ok.
now i waited for all the flashing to quicken etc. i then disconnected everything, reconnected everything as before so that i could up date to 910, but i cant seem to even establish a connection anymore.
is there an answer out there? Ive gone through all the early stages again too ( i followed Brians advice on page 132 i think it was)
    cheers, prawny.

Power it down & disconnect everything.

Hook it all up again & power it up but this time don't do the Com setup just do the upgrade.

this could be from the tv pipe wire making contact with the electrical cable on the DVD player, any contact between the two causes interference and occasional pauses and momentary breaks in signal

If you are losing channels in N*L Dublin, try this before doing a new autoscan:

Go to Key Manager, turn auto update off, go to Nagra, change your provider id to 0x55 (press left arrow four times) press ok, exit and turn auto update back on, exit and you should (hopefully) get your channels back. Worked for me anyway. Let me know how you get on.

Hi guy's, I'm not that familiar with the replay lite box... but thanks to some very helpful members on here I now know how to flash the box and add a channel dump.

But what I want to know how to do is do a channel scan on my replay lite box and then make my own channel dump by adjusting the channel file on my pc.

The way it is at present is I have a channel dump on my replay lite box, but even if I do a factory default, the same channel dump comes back on the box.

So what I really want to know is the process of rescanning my replay lite and then transfering the channel file to my pc and then re-arranging it on there and then transfering it back to my box.

    Cheers guys :)

    Hi Sandisk,

Open up the STBLINK and click on the Read Factory Data button and that will create a file called FACTORY_DATA. The file has 64 blocks of data and will take approx 1 min to copy. Save this file to your PC and when complete use Notepad or any other editor to rearrange to your liking. The channels will be towards the end of the file. When you have rearranged the file, save it, then open up the STBLINK again and click on WRITE FACTORY DATA button, select your file from the pc and clisk OK. This will then write the 64block file back to the Replay and Bob's your uncle!!!. Cheers...The Scaldy One!!!!
