    hi all. my 2 weeplays freeze quite a few times a day not a huge problem has they come back on after a minute or so,,its just annoying. i have the 910 on them both and they are auto rolling fine. can anything be done to stop the freeze? table & fireless uk.

    the most common reason is the cc are workin near buy ant apsetting the rubarb so sit it out and should be fine :)

    also make surew all your cables are fine and the cc's cable is ok with now copper showing or touchin anything and you could reflash if you like just to try it

    hi i got one of those usb serial converters and mini gender changer. the computer see's the port but not the replay lite box, so i cant get a connection, can some one help?

    you have to set up comunication on the stb link
    the pc wont pick it up like any othere hard ware you plug in

    oh and ive opened the stb link but wheni hit steup comm it doesnt establish a connection ive done all the stuff like going to device manager setting up the usb on com 1 an restarting the computer etc, thanks

    have you the proper null modem cable

    thats the part im unsure of, ive the usb serial converter- which i know is right but then i got a mini gender changer, so im not sure of that part?

    i mean the cable that goes in to that but it has to bethe right one female connection and part number l71bt

    Apologies moggser for jumping in, when the OP said he was using a gender changer well it indicates that it is as you suspect a standard RS232 straight through cable. As all null modem cables are DB9F to DB9F.

    Are you sure about that Scouser. Because when i bought mine off dabs.ie i'm pretty sure they had male ones as well.

    no not at all; so am i wrong??? as i though it was a convertor like
    i have one for mine

    yea this is all i got a male usb thing, then got a female converter thing,shud work? NO?

    Sorry folks but thats the way most null modem cables come with the exception of DB25 to DB9, moggser when you say you have a convertor are you talking about the USB convertor or a gender changer?

    Apologies Eva missed your post the leads at Dabs are F to F http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?quicklinx=3ZML&CategorySelectedId=11018&InMerch=1 Male to male are usually straight through RS232 cables.

    yea scouser i got a usb convertor for my Cable so what should i be callin the cable
