sounds like a signal problem.. if you have any splitters at all you lose signal strength,

dont have any spliters, think it is signal prob myself, used to have all stations no probs, but since heavy rain last month there was bit of flooding which i think caused some damage as they had to do some repair work for the whole of clonsilla, everyone was without tv for 4 days, driving me mad, was main channel i watched, was just hoping there could be something i could do ;)

My power supply over heated and now does not work. I found another 12 volt 1 amp power supply but it doesn't get the channels. I tried reflashing the box (with 9.10 beta) and it accepted it. But when I do an auto search it finds nothing. Could it be the wrong power supply or am I doing something wrong.

Where are you and who is your service provider?

Make sure you are scanning the correct symbol rate:

    N*L Dublin scan 6887
    Chor*s scan 6875

'Prov ID 0x5B' is Telepest, symbol rate 6952.

Prov ID 0X55 is Nhell and 0X5D is ex Cble & Wless Symbol Rate 6887

To know who your provider is.

    Menu,

    User Installation,

    Parental lock,

    Press red Button,

    Current Key.

Second Dialogue box down is your provider ID

You should scan at the symbol rate for your provider ID.

The one's above or the one's in Evastar's Post.

You should really backup your channels to your PC

To backup your saved channels and favourites.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
    Open up the stb link.
    Setup Comm.
    Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and re-name it what you want.
    _____________________________________________

If at a later date you do a full rescan and find nothing,
You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
But when you have established a connection with the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.

Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.

Hi. Its a while since I got my R=play lite upgraded. Thanks brian ,no problems until now,

I did not upgrade it Brian did so I am not up to scratch on much technical stuff.

    In the last few weeks I lost TV3 RTE1 RTE2 TG4?

I did not know what to do so I done a Rescan. but to no avail I have about 100 channells, "All in the wrong order, but even after doing a manual scan on 339.5 no rte etc.

    Any Advice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sabai,

As far as I know that 339.500 is the correct Freq for NTL Dublin (unless it changed recently) Maybe Brian, Evastar or Anto can confirm that.

I take it that you have the latest firmware installed? it's v910.

Do you have a NULL Modem cable? (You could try loading a channel dump file from the library onto your box).

    @ sabai and gman496

    Yes, Rte1 is 339.5 on N*L Dub.

Sabai, try doing a manual scan on this frequency rate. Make sure your symbol rate is set to 6887, and you should get the missing channels in a list at the end of your existing channel list.
