    Hi sarahash.

    Welcome to the forum.

There are lots of different boxes around.

Replay lite box only works on nhell.
Starview box works on all the networks, but there are clones around ( not original boxes )and these can cause problems.

Eurovox boxworks on all networks and is a very good buy.

I use a Replay liteand I think it's a good box. I got mine from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy.
I can get you one for €180.
Ebay is a good source for buying, but I would rather buy from a reliable source.

    Are you on nhell network.
I am dublin, northside. Are you northside or southside.
Someone on the southside maybe able to help you, if you aren't a northsider.

    Hi there

i have a replay lite and live in scotland, i followed on of the guides on here to get quick scan and changed some of the numbers but half my channels are missing discovery etc.

i have done the 7777 parental lock etc and that worked for the locked channels but discovery and movie channels missing totally.

i have the latest flash and i have one other problem that my box sound keeps stopping and starting, i thought this was a cable problem but it only happens on certain channels mainly channel 4 when im trying to watch big brother lol

if anyone can help would be great

    thanx

    Hi dalesummy,

    Welcome to the forum,

    BRIAN1956 here in dublin.

Is it 752 software you have, if so I suggest you do an full scan or get your box cloned from someone who has all the channels up and running.

I don't know if the Nhell frequencies are the same in Scotland as Ireland.

These are my settings in Dublin (below)I'm not sure if they will work scotland.

    Download this link
    http://www.speedyshare.com/694585883.html

It’s all the channels I have loaded on my replay lite in Dublin.
You need to flash the box with this file and it will put all my channels as I have them sorted on my box. (Favourites included)on your replay lite.

Open up the STB link and connect the box with your modem cable.

    Setup Comm

    Write Factory data

    Get the file.

When files are transferring, you will see the red/green light flashing, WAITa couple of minutes after your PC says complete, you will see the red/green light flashing much more quickly than it did when the files were transferring.
Unplug the modem lead and box, power up the box again and hopefully it sorted.

This is a word document with a list of all my channels, handy to print off and have it beside the telly.

    Hi Brian
Have not been on here in a few weeks so I thought I'd catch up.

Just for info, 7.52uk and 7.52ie are both exactly the same.

"debic" originally provided the file on here a couple of months ago when 7.44 went down and 7.50 would not allow you to change Symbol Rate for nthell Ireland. There were no flashing instructions with 7.52 and a lot of people found the 7.50 instructions somewhat confusing so I amended them and created two sets, one for the Irish Symbol Rate and one for the various UK Symbol Ratings.

I zipped a copy of 7.52 and the stb link with each set of instructions and posted the two links (7.52ie and 7.52uk).

The software in both files is identical.

On the "Info" issue I have asked my sister who is a software engineer to compare the configuration of 7.44 and 7.52 to see if the problem can be rectified.

    Hi novice99.

    Welcome back,

Yes I knew that the two files were the same ie. uk.
But people had asked me the question and I gave them an answer.

Info button working on lites in the uk.
We all know info not working nhell.ie
Starview info working perfectly well on nhell.ie
I have a starview upstairs and a lite downstairs.
If its the cable signal, why is starview info working.
If its a software problem, why info working on lites in uk.

Are you annoyed with me for putting up new flashing instructions????
I put them up because some people had trouble flashing and I thought a pictorial instruction would be helpful.
Most people are nervous of anything new, and from the number of requests I had, I though I owed them something.

I have also been comparing the 744 and 752, but I think you would also have to include the 750 in that experiment to see the way the programmed evolved.

I am going on my holidays this friday, for two weeks.
So good to have you back.
Give my regards to your sister (good luck with the experiment)

    Good Luck.
    BRIAN1956.

    Hi tobywong,

    Welcome to the forum.

The link below contains all the information needed to get full use of your replay lite box.

    http://www.speedyshare.com/362783264.html

The above link will take you to a website, when you get there, right click on the file the replay box-owners handbook and save target as and save it to your desktop.

To all out there who read this post.
I think this would be handy to have as it contains a lot more information than the handbook we get with the box.

Hope this helps you out tobywong.
    Good luck brother,

    Hi Tobywong.

Yes connect the scart to the TV and connect the TV cable from the socket on the wall to ant in on the box.

You’ll need to do a channel scan.
    Go to menu.
    Go to User Installation
Go to Auto Search. OK You will note that the Symbol Rate is set to 6887 & 6952. This needs to be changed to just 6887 NHELL.IE as it will cut the search time in half. You can use the left/right arrow to change it or you can just type it in with the remote. Now press search and it will take about 20 minutes.

During the search it will not start to find channels for about the first 5-10 minutes as it has to go through all of the frequencies. It will eventually find around 242 TV and 63 Radio but it will reduce this amount to around 130 TV and 40 Radio as it deletes the duplicates. When it is finished scanning the “Scanning” button will change to “View”

Press view and this will save your channels.

Your box now has the channels stored. However, by default the unit shows Free to Air programs. You need to unlock the box so that you can access all the other channels.

You can tell if your box is ‘locked’ by the error message you see at the top left of your TV screen.

0000 Scrambled means – locked and not going to decode your favourite sports channels (or any encrypted channels for that matter – you’ll see a $ sign next to the encrypted – and unviewable - channels)

1800 Scrambled means – the box is updating the ‘keys’ information which it needs to get from your cable provider to show these channels. It shouldn’t take more than a minute or so to update.

Unlocking the box is easy. Do the following:

    1. Menu
    2. User Installation
    3. Parental Lock
    4. Overtype the current password (it’s highlighted for you already) by keying in 7777 on the remote
    5. A box will pop up with the words Access Denied – simply press OK
    6. This will take you to the Key Manager screen
    7. Now use the Exit button twice to get back to your TV screen. You’ll see the 1800 Scrambled message for a short time – then the additional channels will come on.

    The best of luck Toby,

Take your time and you will do it easily.

    Hi again Toby.

If the channels still read unlocked after you have done what’s in the above post.

    Do this.

    If you get 0000scrambled.
    Go to menu.
    Parental lock.
    Current password 7777.
Press red button on remote control.
    Current key ….press OK.
    Auto update ………..OFF
Press exit 3 times and all should be sorted.

    Hi toby,

You are doing very well so far.

You don't have to put in nhell.

Let the box do the search and then follow the instructions.

You are doing it perfect so far.

Be very patient when you are waiting for the channels to unscramble.
When they do, if you have no sound, simply turn off/on the box and the sound will come. The voices might be a bit off with the picture but will be OK.

Leave the box powered up overnight as it takes a while for it to update all the channels.

Above all be patient, you are doing great,

    Brian.
