Replay Lite

Hi Brian 1956
Thanks for the help but i tried to follow these instructions over the weekend but my box will not let me go up one channel i have 127 but it will not let me enter 128 it just goes back to Channel 1.
Any ideas anyone?

When you go to manual search, can you not change the channel number to 128????
It should allow you to do this.


Or if you have a null moden lead, you can copy all my channels, which are all OK to your PC and send them to your box.


Download the file below to your desktop.
Its a file called dub channel fav.

It has all my channels and favourites on it. All are working.
You need a null modem lead part number L71BT Don't accept anything that has not got this part number on it.
You can get one in maplins.

Download the stb link file below to your desktop.

Connect the null modem lead from your PC to the box.
Run the stb link file.


Click Write Factory Data.
Get the file dub channel fav from your desktop.
Click Write Factory Data There are 64 blocks to upload.

Wait a couple of minutes more after your PC has read all blocks transferred.
The red/green light should be flashing much more quickly than it was when you could visibly see the files transferring.
Then unplug the null modem lead and the box.
Power up the box again and in a few moments all my channels and favs will be on your box.

It will be quicker than cloning, and I have all the channels stored in that file.

I do not have a null modem cable or a PC at home but i will get the cable and try it from my PC at work and let you know how i get on.

MY PC at work will not let me download the STB file as the IT dept have blocked it.Any other ideas?

Go to edit my account at the top of this page and check your private messages.

Thought at this stage, you probably are better off doing an
Auto Search OR do the mnaual search on channel 127 and get whatever channel you have stored there back later.


If you are doing an Auto Search,
Start freq at 290
End freq at 395
Symbol rate 6887

 

Brian, just done my first replay box last nite - upgraded firmware and channel dump, it now autorolls - Thanks for your detailed descriptions for doing this!

Hi,

My set top box went down on wednesday evening it is a replay lite one of my house mates got off ebay, we recently ( a couple of months ago ) did a firmware update.

I have tried to re-program all the channels but it comes up with 'scrambled 0000' ( normally comes up with 'scrambled 1800') with the NRL finals just around the corner I really need to get this working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Goto Menu>Parental Lock> type in 7777 then ok.... This will sort it & you should be fine!

 

Sorry when I say re-program I meant go in and do an auto search.

 

I knew what you ment & the fix is exactly the same. Do as suggested in my last post & it will be fine.

You might just have to rename favourites,
1 General TV
2 Movies
3 Sports
4 Music
5 Kids
6 Documentaries
7 News
8 Others

To do this go to Menu-Channel Manager-TV Channel-OK
A box will appear-TV Channel Manager
You will see favourites 1 near the top of the screen
Press the Green button on your remote, to edit
select Rename FAV. then just type in the favourite name required.

When I first came on here, I hadn't a clue how to do these things, but this is a great learning place, with some great very helpful people. You can also some useful information on other topics if you click on forums at the top of the page.

Anyone know where I can get a Replay Lite Remote Control? Mine was drowned in orange juice!! Even a universal one with the correct codes would do. Thanks in advance

I thought - while I had a free minute, would try to manually scan for C4 + 1 - but have come unstuck

From what I have read, you have to choose next available channel. Haver over 240 here but the channel numbers on manual search wont let me go above 133. Now I have sussed that the channel numbers are different to the numbers given to the transmitted channels, as more than one is transmitted on one number, under different frequencies (even I am confused now!)

So not sure what to do, as if i search for 133 channel, will it mess up the 133 i have in currently and to go through all channels and find which is the last is very time consuming

Anyone found a simpler way of finding extra channels, without having to do a full channel search and starting again!! Its not life or death to find this channel, but would like to know.

It looks as if you cannot manually put in the channel number, I have tried, you just scroll thru whats there and it only goes up to 133

Anyone done a manual search for just one channel and if so, can you simply explain how?

Also on my channel for More 4 + 1 - it continually says 1600 scrambled, but does not unscramble. Am assuming this is the new channel, from what i have seen
