missed a bit there too. i did wait for the fast flashing, i actually sat there for a while watching it, as i thought you had to wait for it to stop, so def didnt pull the plug too soon.

brian, can i give you a call or you ring me, please. i can explaiin better over the phone. i cannot use those instructions you mentioned as the box will NOT COMMUNICATE WITH MY PC. i cant establish a connection since i used the favourites update. seriously, thats what happened. i would use that stb 5.2 if i could but the box is not responding, it turns on then flashes red green for a couple of seconds, then back to red and so on. but the main thing is that you cant flash the box anymore at all. 0eight 7 one 3 eight 9 six two five. and again apologies for the atitude, im just distraguht that the box is fooked.

    givyjoe,

    CLONING THE REPLAY LITE

If you have flashed a box and set up the favourites in order you can clone the data on this box to another.

Simply plug in the set up (master) box – attach a null modem cable to the back. Take the new box, put it on top of the master, plug in the null modem lead THEN FINALLY plug the power into the second unit. It will then start cloning from the master. When the red/green light starts blinking very rapidly – it’s cloned 

From the moment you plug in the second box it takes 3mins 46secs to clone, so 4 minutes should be sufficent to get your box up and running again.

To backup your saved channels and favourites.

Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
    Open up the stb link.
    Setup Comm.
    Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and rename it what you want.

If at a later date you do a full rescan and find nothing,
You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
But when you have established a connection with the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.

    Hi moggser m8,

The Darkside are messing around again, their worse than the Bloody Romans.
I have a couple of scrambled channels and have done rescans and can't solve it at the moment.

RTE 2 is a freeview channel and the box should always get this channel, even if the Darkside is messing around, we should always be able to get this channel as it isn't scrambled.

Hope you are keeping well brother.
    Cheers

well there is both codes and software where are you living??
and missing channels i get that and as far as i can gather from wherei am it is a weak signal from your provider might be wrong so don entirely quote me on that

    Hi Damoirl,

No sign of the patch or the new firmware yet, guess it's still the TV Guide for now.
