Replay Lite

bought a universal remote from power city to see if i can get it to work on the box,would anyone know the code for it or where i could get that info

Has the remote control unit you bought got a built in search programme to find the code?

 

no brian it doesnt,it didnt cost too much,amazing that none of these suppliers keep any spare remotes cause it wiil become an issue somewhere down the line

I know this has been asked before and is being asked by many but does ANYONE know if there is any progression on a new firmware for the Replay Lite regarding the info/EPG issue for Ireland? This problem has been around for a few months since the 7.52 firmware was released and there are many people here that would be very grateful if this were to be fixed. There's so many programs that I'd like to get more info on when going through the EPG in any particular evening but as it doesn't work, it ain't possible.

No new's yet on an update for the 752 software yet.
I think the developers of the software were working on software to get the replay's working in cho##s land.

It's a bit annoying though, not been able to get the full info.
I was working on a dead replay lite today, and eventually got it working,I had the 744 software and it was great to be able see detailed info on it, but then I had to load the 752 for it to autoroll.


As soon as the newsoftware come's out, it will be made available here.

 

Just a quick question,

Where are the boxes being sold now, have one already but the chap charged e350, thought it was a bit steep but well worth it, more than got my moneys worth, but am just wondering if there is anywhere to purchase them cheaper (want one for the bedroom but am unwilling to pay e350 for one)

Am in the D13 area... It was a replay lite and I know it was pricey at the time but have it nearly 8 months now and got my moneys worth. Also, I knew the bloke I was buying it from and had some come back when they kept changing the codes, he updated the software to 7.52 for me no problem. But can't justify spending that amount again just for the bedroom, so just wondering is there anywhere to get them cheaper?

i got one too about the same time and didn pay that much no i dea who is sellin the replay here any more but can get a starveiw 2 the box for ya from fergusrb if you like one o them give him a p.m he'll be happy to sort ya out

 

haha...I paid €280 for mine a year ago and I know someone else that paid €300 for his. Back then I remember finding this site and there was barely any posts on it regarding cable receiver boxes...now look at it! (",) I reckon that the Replay Lite is the best cable receiver available. Only gripes I have are the lack of the 2nd SCART connector on the back and the Info button issue. I've just bought a Starview The Box for someone else and don't think too much of it for some reason. Then again...if I used it over a longer period of time my opinion may change.

We do not use remote control codes which work on Universal remotes,
But we have had customers say they can get the 1 for all universal with satellite/cable option to work on
Replay lite receiver by using a blind scan function,
We however cannot guarantee this ,

the box aint bad i got one well i got starview 1 and a replay cant seem to get them any where anymore

The Gemini gad8 is the one that is supposed to work with any cable box, they are available in the UK in asda. It has all the same buttons as the replay remote control.
I don't know if they can be bought in Ireland.

hi can any one help?just got a replay box with hard disc, tried plugging in to check box, but green light on front of box is on permanant green and the number 140 comes up on display, no response to use of remote on box..seems dead, anyone know if there is anything i can do to get it working, when plugged in to tv, no menu or pic on channel.any suggesstions? thanks

He had the same problem as yourself.

tried that before mate and the counting up as you said but still when plugged in 140 stayed up and no menu, just tried forcing flash to see if i could get working as i have in past with replay lites that didnt respond like what brian said ages ago and now i think i messed up..it now says 0 on display, looks completley dead, so can any one help? or know anyone who can get a replay box with hard drive up and working from scratch? if not might have to sell it on. any help appreciated thanks

I heard a rumour today that nthell are gearing up for a card change using nagra 2 and that all boxes will stop working. has anyone else heard anything about this.
