    Menu
    Parental Lock...OK
    Goto Key Manager
    Current Key.....OK
    Auto Update.....OFF
The Provider ID on this box should read 0x5E
If this is correct everything is installed OK.
    Exit to TV screen.

Can you see the freeview channels, Rte2,TV3,Channel6,City Channel,
    Seatana Ireland.

The 756 software is newish and I'm not sure it is working properly.

    Set the scan to

    start freq 290
    end freq 403

It's way faster & there's nothing before that.

Go back to your original symbol rate too.

Pleas be aware when you buy these boxes the seller sells them as freeview boxes and as such you are receiving the freeview channels and you have now put software on the box that he did not put on rendering the box guarantee null and void so be careful when returning as to the reason you are returning the box to him

Steven got his box with v7.52 preinstalled!

    Nothing freeview about that!

well i am only forarming him for what might happen as you all know it is not allowed to sell with the firmware preinstalled but hay we all do it and even with the firmware preinstalled they are still freeview boxes by law and as such are not governed by law

Ya fergusrb I know where you're coming from. I was nit picking ;-)

But I think Stevens box is OK, I think the fact that it won't stay on 0x05 might be his problem? I wonder if it's down to the v7.56?

He could always slap v7.52 back on & try it at his parents to see (They're on NTHELL)

it will work on C***** as i have had one myself but i have to say it is trial and error to get it to work much harder best if he uses for N** and get another starview 2TheBox which will work where he lives and will scan in for him also did anybody ask him if he was on true cable or using an Ariel as alot of the houses around that area are on MMDS worth finding out that could also be the problem

Also be aware thet C***** is supplied by N** in that area and the firmware he has on the box could also be the problem as that is for a pure C***** area that is also worth exploring

yes and i can easily put 752 back on it before i give it back.
to be honest i dont think the guy knows whats on it who sold it as he got someone else a 3rd party to install it on the box.

Lads would it be the splitter thats causing the problem why i keep getting 1800:Scrambled ?

i have 2 cho&&s connections in my house 1 down stairs and 1 in a room
i am trying to set the replay lite up in the room

as most people who know who have Ch0&&s
the connection from the wall differs to the 1 on the replay lite box therefore a spltter is needed and another wire between the replay box and the splitter and then the wire from the chorus box on the wall to the splitter.

should i see any channels working without the 1800:scrambled message?

2 night ago it found 10 stations but they were scrambled

so when i do a scan i get No Programs found right away after i choose Search.

    any ideas lads.

jes ye have been great help so far, i wouldnt be even near were i am only for you guys,

i hope to get this working before the weekend
    if not back it goes.

    I'm not familiar with Cho**s

Is your Cho**s cabled into the house? (Not on MMDS I hope)

If it is cabled? do you have a cable at the box where it enters the house but the connector does not match the fitting on the Reply?

Can a coupler/adapter be got to convert the fitting so as it will connect directly to the Replay?

    Or -

Can a fly lead be got/made up that will have a standard coaxial plug on one end & something that will take the Cho**s fitting on the other?

    -

I think that you should be trying this at source Steven & not at points in other rooms further down the line.

    hi GMAN

yes my Cho**s is cabled into the house.
there is a Cho**s box on the wall down stairs i also have a 2nd box upstairs in a bedroom which is totally independant nothing to do with downstairs.

Yes i have a cable at the box and it does not match the fitting on the replay CORRECT !

When you say a coupler adapter what do you mean? any site that you can send me a picture of it?

Its hard to explain but the connection on the Cho**s wire has a little pin coming out of it connection screws on and the pin goes into a femail co axial

Im not sure about the fly lead i think its more trouble than worth? i.e making it up.

What i did was get a satelite splitter were i have the Cho**s cable going into and a wire at the other end going into the Replay Lite.

i know ideally it should be going from source but it is impossible with Chorus because of it having different connections to NTHELL

there has to be other Cho**s subscribers out there who have this working with a Replay Lite.

I'd be very interested to find out.!

i still cant understand though how it did find channels two night ago and wont now.

I also cant understand why the Prov ID doesnt stay on 0x5E when i exit the screen it defaults back to 0x01

So do you normally go from the Cho**s box to the telly via a scart lead?

This is what he needs to solve his problem

    F plug/coaxial plug gender changer.

also i would be doing the box on the first line into the house without the splitter on it as this could be his problem not enough power to get it working so main wire coming in and just attach that coupler to the C***** connection and he should be able to scan then
