Thanks for that Brian its good to have. I reloaded the software on the replay box but no luck. I think its actually dead. Does anyone know anyone who can fix these HDD boxes? Its wierd ive only had it 3 months and one day all the channels are gone... paid through the nose for it as well!
it just says no signal on screen. no scrambled or anything. It can still play from the hard drive. Id really appreciate any suggestions!!

You should probably have to flash it with 742a and then the 751 file for the replay box.
Make sure when you flash it with the 742 that when the flash is complete, unplug the box and the null modem lead.
Plug back back in the box, wait for the green light to come on, then flash with the 751 for the replay box with hard drive.

Details of how to get the 742a are a couple of posts above.

Hope this works for you my friend.

Bst of luck and a Happy Christmas to you and your family

    Hi all,

If anyone has a replay lite in Edinborough working 100%, could they upload their channels to speedyshare or eamos library please, a mate is looking for them.

    Thanks

just a query,if you have a blank box with no software does cloning the box install the 752 software as well or does that have to be installed before cloning

    Not sure myself Buzzymcg,

I don't think it would do any harm to the new box, you could try it.

Simply plug in the GOOD box – attach a null modem cable to the back.
Take the new box; put it on top of the GOOD box,
Plug in the null modem lead
THEN FINALLY plug the power into the second unit.
It will then start cloning from the master.
During this time the red/green light will blink SLOWLY
    [IMG]

When the red/green light starts blinking very QUICKLY [IMG]
    – it’s cloned.
Unplug the second box; remove the null modem leads from both boxes

Plug in the second box, wait for it to come on THEN connect the TV leads.

To clone a box takes 3mins 42 secs. From the time you plug in the second box.
So if you give it 4mins then it should be ok.
But make sure the led is flashing much more quickly than it did when you first powered the box for cloning.

If the the master box you use to clone the new box has v7.52 installed then it will install v7.52 onto the new box during the cloning prosses.

If you're in Dublin I'll sort you out if you wanna bring it to my house. Or you can buy a cable for around €20 in maplins or Peats. You have to get part number L71BT. other cables really dont work (...ive had 2)

    Thanks Brian,
Will 742a not be wiped anyway when I flash with 751? I will give it a shot sure. Defo worth a try, this box is well handy, really wanna revive it!
    Cheers,
And happy christmas to you likewise :)

    Hi Damoirl,

The 742a file enables the box to receive the channels and the 751 decodes them.

All the boxes have an "a" file installed first and then the programme to decode the signal, in your case the 751 for the box with hard drive.

Mae sure it's the 751 for the PVR and not the 751 for the lite.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but it's that time of the year when everybody is very busy.

    Cheers m8ty.

Thanks again Brian1956, I flashed with both just as you said but

still no joy. Im gonna see if a tv repair shop will put a new

receiver in it if thats even possible.

    Thanks for the help :)

Tazz I have no idea how to get a box im Australia, I'd imagine its a completely different system but maybe someone on the forum can help you there.
