reposting and bumping

    how long must i wait to have a thread replied to before i can repost or bump it to the top or take it another board?

    Bumping.... it really depends but dont be stupid about it (i.e., 5 minutes)... give it a couple days at least, people are busy and stuff --- it's not that they dont mind helping you its that they have other committements too! :)

    In general, if you want to post a question, stop and thing about the most appropriate board to ask on... posting a P2P question on the Advanced DVDR board is not kewl. And if you do multipost, please limit it to 1 additional post (you should be able to get maximum exposure to the appropriate crowd within 2 posts). Anything more than that, it really starts to be a hassle to (re)answer your questions and/or clean up the multiposts. Occasionally I come across the fellow with 4 way multiposts -- thats friggen annoying. :)
