This is not the only movie that DVDDecrypter won't beat, there is a new group of codes on new discs.

    ccwdude,
That's what I did and it was perfect.I'd love to figure out how to make the PSL file. I'm still learning.
Dvd decryptor & dvd shrink are truly beautiful programs.

i HAD the same problems trying to ripp "resident evil apocalypse" & after trying clonedvd2, dvdxcopy, dvdshrink, dualdvd, & more, i was about to give up!

well, i put the disc back in my drive & re-tryed dvdshrink 3.1, my windvd 4 also opened at the same time.
i dont know why or how but dvdshrink read the whole dvd & backed it up! i burned it using dvdclone2.

so, the only clue i have is to let windvd 4 start to play the movie & open dvdshrink & backup the movie!...good luck

    jayquik03,

Look's like a PSL is already out for the "Little Black Book" but did you get a hold of "Forgotten" today....seems anything made by Columbia TriStar at this point have the same thing.

if you want a good copy of resident evil 2
    and have xcopy
    use that along with ANYDVD
ANYDVD will decrypt and then copy with xcopy
I had no problems and made 2 copies..

Open up anydvd and make sure the choice are ok...
I chose remove adverts and trailers, then choose to startup with title menu I got the entire disk..

(Update for DVDXCopy Platinum 4.0.3.8 owners)If you install AnyDVD v4400(Beta) and insert the movie and let the movie run for about a minute, then start DVDXCopy (Advance mode)you should be able to get a perfect copy of Resident Evil Apocalypse. I did it in less than an hour. So if you have a faster processor you should be able to do the same in less time. At least I know that I can get a little bit of more milage from DVDXCopy. I refused to give up on this software that so far I was able to copy every movie I own. So guys try that combination, I did and it worked. Thanks to everybody for the great solutions posted on the board. Happy New Year.

The Best way to copy Resident Evil 2 is this: Install AnyDVD v4400 (Beta) insert the movie, let it run for about a minute then stop the movie. Start DVDXCopy Platinum 4.0.3.8 (Advance mode) on my PC it shouwed that it compress it to 58% Start ripping, you should be able to make a perfect copy of the entire DVD in less than an hour. It worked for me. Most likely I will purchase the key for AnyDVD because it comes handy, besides you get updates for future versions for free, so if the companies come up with another type of encryption I am pretty sure that AnyDVD will remove it. Happy New Year guys.

O BTW for those of you who dont wana read the entire string here ya go AGAIN

    Heya
I had same probs as all you have posted and am too much of a newb to do the insert file fix so heres what worked for me.

Use VobBlank to copy all files from REZ 2 disc into a folder on your HD. Then use DVDShrink (open files from folder you saved files to using VOBBlank) to create a ISO to be burned with DVDDecrypter. Burn ISO with DVDDecrypter and wallah! perfect burn.
    Hope this helps!
