I tried DVDXCopy 1.5.2 and DVDXCopy Express 2.5.0 and still hangs at the start.

I've ordered the DVD and will get it this week I'm told. I have it slotted as # 1 in my queue.

I usually receive it about 2 days before the "official" release date.

I'll take a wack at it as soon as it arrives (I can hardly wait, I love a challange) :)

    Cheers all and SEASONS GREETINGS,

    Pete

I've tried backing up my copy of Res. Evil II with 2 different dvd drives, one internal laptop read-only, and my external NEC 2510A burner, using decryptor/shrink 3.2, and both times it stops at %15 analyzing. I have the video preview enabled, and that point is directly after the menus have been scanned, just before the film is about to start. Very irksome.

Okay, guess you guys didn't read my post... Use dvd decrypter to rip the movie... make sure and import protected sector list file containing the following:

    PSL
    184370-184400
    184401-184431
    184432-184462
    184463-184493
    184494-192543
    192544-196079
    1953828-2084899
    2259324-2259354
    2259355-2259385
    2259386-2259416
    2259417-2259447
    2267504-2271039
    4038680-4038749
    4038750-4169821
    4169840-4169909

This will rip the entire movie from the DVD. Then use DVD Shrink to size the DVD. Then burn it! If you have problems burning the entire DVD as a clone (like I did with clonedvd) then just create a dvd with the main movie only with shrink. Then use clonedvd to burn it. This is what I did and returned my RE2!

All except the bold lines are autogenerated by dvd decrypter. The bold lines were figured out by read errors when copying.

this is not just happening with Resident Evil 2
it is also happening with Little Black Book

I tried both and got the same.
Funny thing is that the movies wont play with PowerDVD on the computer. they start but if you try to skip chapters you get an error.

both movies a made by Tristar
and both movies have full or widescreen as a choice.

just giving my two cents for what i came up with.

i am wondering if tristar has found a way to stop backups.
