Using Vobblanker to copy resident Evil Apocolypse
I just made a backup copy using this software.
A- Make a new Folder to save this in.
    1. insert dvd in computer(resident evil apocolypse)
    2. open up vobblanker
    3. input folder (browes and find dvd drive letter)click on it then click on the video_ts folder click open twice.
    4. output folder(browes and find folder you created)click on it and then click OK.
    5. highlight all items in the title set window all items should now be blue.
    6. click the Process butten below and wait for the software to do its thing.Once its done
7.open up shrink then press the open file button
    8. find your folder and click on it and then click ok
    9. click re-auther
    10. double click title 1 under the main movie window
    11. then click backup. There you go Good Luck

Does applying the patch and using DVD Decrypter keep working menus?

Does using VOB Balnker then Shrink keep working menus?

Menus wouldve worked if the original dvd did not have both formats, WS and FullScreen on it, because either cannot be condensed anymore than dvdshrink is capable of. The main problem is the decoding part which we can get past in order to copy the movie.
Im sure they knew what they were doing when they included the FullScreen version to the same disk as the WS

    Thanks for the VobBlanker link.

I just backed up RE2 Apocalypse using VobBlanker and CloneDVD2. Full movie w/ a working menu.

Okay. I could have sworn someone posted that they managed to get the menus to function. There just has to be a way to do it with Shrink also. I am not going to give up that easily.

Yes, I'm afraid Shrink falls a little short on this one. I used DVD Decrypter w/ the patch and DVDShrink for movie only...However, when playing the disc on my standalone player, it takes about 60 seconds for the movie to start...nothing but black screen for 60 seconds, then the movie plays perfectly. Weird. Anyways, I started using VOB Blanker until I read other posts on the new patch for Decrypter, and decided to use it instead. Since someone has apparently been able to burn a copy with working menus, I should have stuck with VOB Blanker.

Oh, one other thing...After the movie had been transcoded with DVD Decrypter as I mentioned above, I tried importing the Video_TS folder into CloneDVD2 and it would not accept it.

I'm gonna try this again using VOB Blanker to trancode.

When re-authoring with DVDShrink, you can adjust the beginning and the end of the movie so it starts on the frame you choose and not have a lagtime before it starts, its an option when you go into re-authoring and allows you to drag to the frames begining and end

Yeah, I know that you can crop in DVD Shrink...But I have NEVER had to do that before when burning movie only in Shrink, and didnt think I needed to this time. So, I burned and realized that I could have cropped. Instead of using Shrink again, I will try VOB Blanker and CloneDVD2 as mentioned above, b/c I would rather have a working menu anyways.

    Brodey and bardie,

Kind of yes and no - you needent have RE2 in your PC BUT you do need some disc there. As long as there is a disc there (it even works with a backup copy there, any backup copy) you'll be able to import the PSL download without a problem.

De ScubaPete wouldn't have done you that way, you guys should know better :)

    Cheers,

    Pete

Well, if you look at the difficulty at people having various problems, it only makes sense to complicate things less and tell them to put the dvd in question in the drive than to get in depth with it. Everyone has had great test results and suggestions and so far, for me, they all have worked

Actually, the PSL gets wiped out each time you change program modes, or insert new discs.

So basically, get the program how you want it, insert the res evil dvd AND THEN import the PSL file.

Thanks for the info on the PSL LIGHT_UK. I was wondering about that.

Also if you happen to be the same LIGHT_UK from another forum. Thanks!
