RIAA is sueing me - Please help out!

    Nobody ever had a problem downloading, but it is the sharing they are targeting...
    Kinda dumb on a University network ;^(

    @ The OGS, your saying downloading is safe but uploading isnt. so if some goes to a download site like yourmp3.net they wont get nailed. i was always afraid of those download places. i probably still will be.

    Well obviously if everyone downloads but nobody shares, P2P networks will fall apart - it is the uploaded files available that drive the whole scheme :^)
    When bandwidth was a lot more precious (~5 years ago) everyone wanted to D/L but nobody wanted to upload.
    Understandable of course - P2P users are not renowned for altruistic behaviour - but funny that uploading is still shunned (but for a new and different reason).
    BTW she seems very nice, not too bright perhaps, but very cute :^)
    The reason I say that is
    #1 The driving school is being sued - so what's her problem? The driving school would then have to sue her if it cannot defend...
    If its insurance is inadequate, that is not Amy's fault.
    #2 She has not been convicted of anything yet (hell, she's still Jane Doe # whatever) so not to worry!
    Cripes, they couldn't convict OJ or MJ so, just ignore them I say.
    In Canada, we would fight to have the University decline to identify us to the RIAA (privacy issues don't you know, minor-student etc, LoL, it would be tied up in process for years :^)
    Let them try to take Jane Doe #? into court and invest THEIR $$ into litigation...
    Amy don't worry so much - just play your viola, drink wine, and don't upload (possibly don't drive either) LoL ;^)

    just curious are you charging the RIAA for the free advertising plug that you are giving them on your website.The background is so crass, its something the RIAA would pick out isnt it.

    Lady, i wouldnt be smiling well maybe i would if i was scamming evry one.Havent you heard the old saying : you have made your bed and now you have to sleep in it or you reap what you sow.

    So every one else who gets done are you going to help them out!!!!!
